What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

OK, not today, but couple of days ago, helped a friend get his recently acquired 69 Barracuda (with 67 grille and hood) running. It's a 318 with 340 heads, intake and exhaust and gutted interior that was used a few years ago in some kind of low budget racing. Been sitting outside a few years, wasn't getting spark. After we tried the usual things, pulled the plugs from the firewall wiring junction, then pulled that box into the interior, sprayed the terminals with brake cleaner (it's what we had), then used compressed air to blow dry everything. Put it all back together and it fired right up.

Looks great! I don't have to clean and polish mine, though (not the paint anyway), as it has that modern "matte" finish (i.e., 30 year old cheap paint dulled to a semi-flat finish).

I finally got the exhaust back together after installing the gear vendors overdrive. Hopefully tomorrow I will have the wipers back together and can take it out.

Drove the SC400 to the tire shop to have them fix a leaking brand new tire they put on 3 months ago.

Ultrasonic Cleaned and assembled the last carb today. Bought this last carb as a parts carb, turned out to be a great carb, just needed a little cleaning . . so she's a keeper.
