I did some looking around on FABO and this question has been touched on before but most of those threads are pretty old. The size intend to get is the 275/50R-15 and intend to race only but have to drive to the track.

So my question is what do you prefer? What has your experiences been with either?

Nitto Tires 108-610 Nitto NT 555 RII Tires | Summit Racing

The Nittos are a lot cheaper.

And, what do you like to run on the front, tire size?

Thanks.

i got the 555's i like them, BUT they do not last long
(then again, on a 400 HP, none of em do)

I personally have the MT's and really like them. They are a biting tire! I haven't owned a set of Nitto's.

I owned a set of those Nitto 555's. They are a hard sidewall tire, and in my opinion better suited to late model cars with more horsepower than torque. They were a bad match with my high torque stroker engine, and caused wheel hop no matter how I set up the rear suspension( I tried SS springs and also Cal-Tracs). I bought a set of M/T's but never got a chance to run them before I sold the car.

I really like my nitto drag radials they seem to be a really good Street strip tire and for the money they would be hard-pressed to beat. I will buy another set when I get ready to buy new ones. But so far they've held up really well !

well they did have a line of 15 '' 555 extreme drag i run the 325 50 15 and love them

If you look closely at this picture you can see the Nittos deforming. They aren't supposed to be wrinkle walls. Enlarge the picture and look at the inside tire.

i was just looking where i buy my nitto's and they are not listing any 15'' i hope they are not discontinued as mine are getting low on life .
