I have taken my rat rod to many shows, just for the conversation and better parking spot. The first show I got parked next to a Ford GT40. Rather drastic difference there. Now I will be bringing the Demon to shows, it was in a garage since 1984, chips and marks on it, but it is way more fun than a perfect restored car..I say take it and have fun, especially when rain comes and they all scatter like the world will end.
I have no problems with a work in progress, because I’ve been there and have 3 more that will be there. Have to admit, I’m not a fan of the trailer queens and the new cars. But they don’t care about what I like and I don’t care what they like.
I do get a laugh when the GM and Ford guys move their trucks away from my 53 Dodge truck because it gets more love from the crowd than theirs.
