Hip number 2 was successfully installed. Could not find a 1959 NOS unit, so a titanium unit had to do. The hospital food absolutely rocks.

They are going to have you up and walking within hours of the surgery.
My old Boss had both done at the same time and was walking later that day. He was able to go up stairs in his house for the firast time in 18 months.
They advised NO lateral stress like entering and exiting cars where you have to slide and turn...unless absolutely necessary like getting home.

Absolutely correct, Kern. Had the left one replaced 10/8/19. Piece of cake compared to a knee. I will absolutely be at the Spring Fling FABO picnic on May 22 @68gtxman.
 
you better tell the missus not to let you spend the night outside, or someone may steal you and strip you for parts
 
Congrats on keeping a good outlook, that's going to get you farther than anything!!
 
You'll have to keep something heavier in the titanium side so you don't wear out your other bearings from out of balance.
