What is your car's rarest option?

My 73 dart sport has factory halogen headlights and recaro bucket seats. Swiss export car.

Along that line....why were there no '64-6 Barracuda convertibles? They could have based them on the Valiant convertible with all on-the-shelf parts.

I think Plymouth felt that the only distinguishing feature of the Barracuda was the big glass fastback — a convertible would be literally nothing but a re-badged Valiant, and they really wanted to avoid calling attention to the Valiant connection. But it could have worked if they dropped the Valiant convertible...

Red plastic wheel well liners.

Absolutely nothing about my car is rare.
The silenced air cleaner seams to be unusual on a 2bbl, rare?

The dealer optional wheel covers are rare, the rocker moldings are rare (but not factory, grandfather had them added when the car was a year old)

But quite possibly the rarest part on the car is the original license plate frame (if you have one let me know).

Is that turbine bronze? Fantastic colour!!

Probably its lack of options.
It only has one.
V5X protective side molding in black.
and thats it.

My 70 swinger 340 has a go wing on it not sure if it is factory or not but I am keeping it...:confederateflag:

1966 Valiant Station with 273-2bbl and 4-speed, sure grip and 14‘ wheels with front discs and fast manual steering....

1966 one year only for the 2 barrel unsilenced air cleaner.
Well my car is a 67, November build (early for 67 Barracuda), it is original, I know my grandfather didn't change it out, the purchased the car new the day it hit the lot.

Sounds right. I used to get a free air filter once a year from Pep Boys. I would just go in to order one during their promotion using the 66 Barracuda. If they did not stock an air filter for your car you got one free. It did not matter /6, 273 2 barrel, or 273 Commando engine. They all used the same filter that year. Must have taken till early 1967 to use them all up.

Although the same filter will fit both the 2 and 4bbl, they were different, the 2bbl was shorter as the carb was taller. I always ran the taller one with the 2bbl with no problems.

Rarest option for my '69 Dart?
Easy...me driving it!
One of these days it will be finished and on the street. I just hope it's before I'm 'finished' and (probably) under the street.

Yeah, mine still has the fan but there is no heater core anymore. Dead weight.

There was never a heat element for the rear defogger, just sucked air from inside the cabin through the passenger speaker grille and blew it through a slot in the middle of the package tray. Sounds weird but it really works in my 70 Dart.

rarest options on my cars are the mistakes right from the factory...

Yes

That little coil in some defrosters is just a resistor. Not all rear defroster have that resistor.

Nowadays my dart sport 360 is rare bumper to bumper!! No longer any darts around my neck of the woods at all.:( Even the few remaining junk yards carry nothing for my car. So sad.
