Summit 2.5 Exhaust

It’s a semi-generic kit so you’ll have to cut the tailpipes to length. On my Duster I had to cut almost a foot out, most of it came out of the tailpipes but a some came out of the mid pipes. It’s the same kit for the 108” and 111” wheelbase cars so my Duster being 108” it wasn’t surprising to me that it needed a few inches out of the mid pipes. I just put the mufflers where I wanted them and adjusted accordingly.

I weld everything except the connections to the mufflers, I leave those clamped. Gives me an easier place to break the system for working on the transmission or stuff around the trunk or fuel tank. Also gives a spot for the condensation to exit the system before it goes up and over the axle.

I like the summit kit, for the price it’s hard to beat the quality. It does require a little tweaking, but nothing extreme. Again, for the price I think I that’s perfectly appropriate.
