You are absolutely right. The spider gears and the cross shafts are the same as a 8 3/4” Dana clutch SG. With the exception of the thrust button holes. You have to drill the Dana 44 ones. I’m not in a big hurry if you get a chance to look that would be great.

Judging be tooth count alone they are different. Mine is 10 tooth. Yours is 11. But thank you for the gracious offer.

I don't have any. All that I could find is Dana 60/70 powr lok parts
Do you have a Dana 60 power lok? I need one for a Dana 60 I’m building.
Still on the hunt for a spider gear.
Roy, if u can find an older Chevy or Pontiac 1964 and older (not sure how much older)with the Eaton unit those spiders and pin will work. It’s a pumpkin also. Kim

I have a set of SG gears and shaft from a 489 case. Would they be the same?
No that is a cone style SG I’m sure. It has two spider gears and one shaft. The gear I need is out of a clutch style Dana SG that has 4 spider gears.

I do not believe the 489 case is a cone clutch style.
In box is cleaned out.
Post a picture of it. That is the easiest way to tell.

This 489 SG suffered a case failure as one of the spider gears seized onto the cross shaft thus spinning the shaft in the case causing the holes in the case to wobble out. The other spider is still free on the shaft but will not slide off the shaft because the end of the shaft is screwed up from spinning in the case. If you could get it off the shaft I believe the 10 tooth spider gear is serviceable.
I give you all the internal parts for the $ cost of freight.
I knew by your discretion it was a cone SG. That is common. I have several ruined cases. Her is a picture of each type.
Last photo the one on the left is a Dana clutch type. Right side is a Cone SG spider.
