Got this 74 Dart that was sitting on a buddy's family farm in New Mexico. It last ran in 2014. Short term plan is to get the slant six running and cruise it a little. I also have a 5.9 magnum I plan to build up and swap.
Anybody got a spare V8 K frame? I know I can do conversion mounts and use the slant six K frame, but I like the idea of using the factory V8 frame if I can find one.

Looks like a good project. I'd stick with the slanty k until you really dig deep into it. You might want to go another route when the time comes and it's an easy to v8 swap with what you've got. I'm loving the camo paint scheme. No one will see you coming. lol. Just kidding. Don't forget to give us more pics.

Welcome from Texas. Keep the /6 in it until you finalized all of the plans for the swap & make sure you have all of the parts/pieces you think you will need.

I vote twin turbo 5.9 so it sounds like an Me 262 and is fast as hell.

The paint is a single coat of cheap rattle can white over the factory gold that has worn off in the thin spots to leave a pattern. I'm going to try a comet wash to take the rest of it off.

Green scotch brite pads & your comet wash will probably do the trick.
