dimmer switch

I have this diagram but apparently when I blew it up I lost the bottom part of it just above the dimmer switch. Didn't notice till now. Thanks.
Another question. The dome light and the door light actuators have 2 wires . One hot, the other ground . Is the ground really nesessary ? Doesn't the mounting point act as a ground?

Normally the interior light buttons are only a ground, but some have two wires, and still some cars only have one button with two wires.
Not positive, but I believe that second wire is so the twisting of the headlight switch grounds the interior light making it come on.
Normally the interior light always has 12v going to it and the door buttons and headlight switch only give the ground to make it light.
Del, @67Dart273 might shed more light on why the second wire is on the door buttons.
You are correct that the buttons get a ground through being installed in the metal body.
Mine are both a single wire and ground to the body. (73 Dart)
