Our '65 Formula S has a trunk divider made from 1/2" plywood that measures roughly 46" by 18".

FYI, the scallop in the wood is unique to the "S" models for the fatter that stock spare. How tall are those bumpers? Mine are UA. Does yours have a plastic band around the edge? pics!
 
The wagons have a really large spare tire cover made with 1/2 in plywood - definitely larger than the Barracuda security panel
 
Volvo used plywood for the rear compartment cover on wagons into the 2000s.
 
After removing the trim holding the carpet secure in the trunk divider displayed in post #1, we found a channel/groove machined in the wood on the three sides under the metal moulding. The fourth side (where the hinge attaches) is not finished square but is beveled at maybe a 45 degree angle. What I am saying is: reproducing these things amounts to more than just cutting out a profile perimeter using the old part as a pattern and routing the relief for the larger Formula "S" spare tire. All four edges/sides need to be massaged as well. I have my local carpenter working on it now. Chrysler sure liked to complicate things.

I don't remember this piece (it's not wood) when I disassembled my '65 Formula S. Does it cover the tail light harness? These are available aftermarket:

Yeah. Thats plastic. My high school days 65 Barracuda had a laminate hard wood floor section for the cargo area. It looked presentable and made the acoustics back there awesome for the 10's I had in the divider. Stuff would slide around back there but I didn't carry much, 'cept maybe a 6th person back there for a drive-in party.
