I think we'd have to adjust for the time frame - inflation I speak. Also, at the time I owned some of the more expensive/desired cars, they were much cheaper as it was many years ago. My 2 current A-bodies, and not the most desired ('74 & '76) were 2800 apiece. Both have had considerable work since I've bought them, and both still need more work and are NOT show cars.
