One of mine and Kitty's hobbies together is watching movies. When we see one we want, I hawk ebay or we sometimes raid the 3 and 5 dollar bins at wally world.....although we've not been to wally world in a while and may not anymore.

Anyway, I found both Cocoon movies in the limited edition pack on ebay.....which is pretty hard to find and usually pretty pricey. I got a decent deal on them so I got them. Coming from Pensacola, Fl. Then in Jacksonville. Ok, they're on the way. Then in Memphis, Tn and now in Atlanta. Wait...what? Memphis. Yeah, we're in middle Georgia 75 miles south of Atlanta. I just don't get it. Hopefully they'll show up one day. lol

I'm glad to hear it's not just me. When things go thru Memphis specifically it goes to Raleigh, Greensboro, back to Raleigh and then to my post office for delivery. Love those movies by the way!

I can tell you one thing, it'll get sucked into a black hole in Atlanta. I ordered some parts from Florida and signed up for USPS text notifications. Big mistake, all hours of the night and day to tell me my package left Florida then arrived in Atlanta. Then the next day it left Atlanta, in transit, 2 days later arrived in Atlanta, next day left Atlanta, in transit, 2 days later arrived in Atlanta, in transit. It was an endless circle but 13 days later I finally got my package to Wisconsin.

I bought exhaust manifolds from a member here. He agreed to ship them the roughly 7 hour ride,to another member here, who will bring them when he comes to Carlisle in July.
He did his job. Gave me tracking number.
3 days later it says. At post office awaiting pick up.
WTH. How about delivering it like you were paid too.
Zero notice of even an attempt to deliver. Just waiting for customer to pick up.
Special shout out to @ Mopar Tim for going above and beyond to pick them up.

Thanks again Tim. Case of twisted tea awaits at Carlisle. :thankyou::thumbsup:

USPS used to deliver to our house. When they made the deal with amazon, that changed. Seems they "re-read" there own policy, or someone did, and because we live on a "private road", they refuse to deliver packages to our door since... We get the slip in our mailbox and have to go to the post office, which closes at 4:30, and is only open for 1 hour on Saturday. We live in a town of 3000 people and most of them are within the city limits in houses that are 10 feet from one another. I don't buy the "It takes too long". Not like out road is 5 miles long. It's literally 1/4 mile from end to end and we have around 28 homes on it down both sides. More than once, I had to pick up things that would clearly have fit in our box, or the package box. This all changed just two years ago, before that it was awesome. Now I avoid them if possible.

in st louis mo on monday night, a man renovating a building found 800-1000 pcs of mail in his dumpster. he called usps and they told him to redeposit in nearest mail box. he said no. he took it further as there were pay checks, irs letters, birthday cards etc in the collection. the usps finally came and collected the mail from him and supposedly investigating it as a major crime. will see where this goes. i have had trouble with my pp payment getting hung up or lost in seminole/orlando when using flat rate envelope. now using 1st class as it is 1/2 of flat rate cost. now tracking says waiting for pickup. head idot of usps says rate increase and longer delivery times coming to help fix system. BS. maybe make the usps private? don't have the solution because not a lot of people want to work. job fair last week needed approx 1800 workers and 20 people showed up all day. part 1 rant over. part 2 coming soon.

You'll have that with the USPS. Too bad they are the only game in town for reasonably priced small package shipping. UPS or FedX would probably cost $35 unless they have changed their programs.

USPS= Government employees. I have had issues with both fedex and UPS so I dunno where this(shipping) is going in the future.

gonna have to jump in on this one..

Guy bought Ram 1500 Radiator thru FB Marketplace on April 18th.
Shipped via USPS on the 19th
Shows as in transit since April 23rd with no updates since.

I don't get my money until it arrives.

:(

I check it this mornin and the movies are BACK IN MEMPHIS. lol

When I lived in Greeley, Colorado if I wanted to mail a letter to the other side of town( 120,000) My letter would go from the Post Office here to Brighton, Colorado 35 Miles away then back to Greeley to be delivered.

FedEx, UPS and USPS should merge and be called FedUp!

It probably isn't their fault you cant find good help these days. I had an issue with Fed ex, I wached my package on tracking reverse direction and head back to sender.I called about it, and got a remote robot switchboard. I had to select "billing and payments" to get someone on the phone. The nitwit told me the shipper requested the item returned, i said "really I paid for the item and the shipping I don't see how they can do that..." I contacted the shipper, was a bit irate, and told him basically "I am reporting you it seems you haven't been very honest here" The seller was upset didn't know what I was talking about. After some hurt feelings we got it straightened out but it was Fedex's fault and the guy on the phone either lied or didn't know what he was talking about.

That's pretty typical the way it's done.
Has to got to a postal facility to "sort" it out.
Same thing here.
Goes from the local post office, then down the highway, about 20 miles, on the other side of town, then back to this post office, all over again.

I feel You! Am still waiting on the camshaft I ordered 2 months ago where they ‘verified’ that it was in stock-2 weeks ago they did it had been shipped, now they tell me it is in their warehouse, getting ready to be shipped...

Shipping is really hit and miss. Last Monday I ordered a radiator from a place in So. Cal. Than on Thursday I ordered a jeep accelerator pedal from a guy in Georgia. I got the accelerator pedal today and my radiator is still floating around So. Cal. I could have driven down to pick it up quicker.
