The 40 440

Ok where was I? Finishing the frame I believe. On to the rearend then. I got the 8 3/4 rear out of a chrysler new Yorker in the junk yard. It was cleaned up painted bright green, and a Eaton trutrac and 355 gears. (Figured the 355s would help with the highway since there wouldn't be overdrive.)
As I said we used a QA1 coilover setup for the rear. However I like the ride tech four link kit better so we used that. The ride tech comes with all the bars brackets joints, and a really nicely made bracket to attach to the frame, and rear-end housing. Super easy to use not much fab. I already had my wheelbase measurements so I tacked the rearend to the table at the height I wanted and centered it. We assembled both sides of the four link kit. Set them in place double checked some measurements and tacked them in.2018-07-31 17.29.43.jpg
Now we get to the jog in the frame. Pretty self explanatory so I will just show the pics. 2018-07-31 19.40.27.jpg 2018-07-31 19.41.47.jpg 2018-07-31 20.54.11.jpg 2018-07-31 21.33.40.jpg 2018-08-01 15.54.34.jpg 2018-08-01 15.54.18.jpg2018-08-01 15.53.35.jpg
As you can see in the last few pics we got the springs in place aswell as a few crossbars. The QA1 kit comes with the crossbar, aswell as the tabs. There is also a panhard bar with the ride tech kit that isn't in yet. It had to be bent cut and modified so it would attach were we needed it.
At this point we had to get it off the frame table. A little sketchy, but ratchet straps did the job. Don't try this at home. Pics coming next
