Kitty have been noticing lately the increasing number of newer cars and trucks that are painted with what we're calling shiny primer. Same shade as grey primer, but obviously with clear coat. Why would anybody want such a bullshitty color on anything? Ugliest crap I've ever seen. Do people not like color anymore? Just drive by most any new car lot. Silver, grey, brown, tan, toupe....WTF is toupe? Most reds and blues are muted. I think Jeep has a nice blue....and there are a very few more. No color anymore.

Different strokes for different folks. I'm an earthy color kind of guy myself. Greys and silvers mostly. My car will be painted GA4 after the bodywork is completed.

i think a lot of them look great in that color.. its just grey paint.. i think that color would look incredible on a 70-71 dart with a black top and scoops.

Wife an I were talkng about this other day. But I then noticed were are starting to see more red, and blues. Black is big here in Tx on pickups also, go figure that one! Lot of white cars, bit I like whiite.

Seems like every silver car or truck I have seen has stripes on it. I know silver is had to spray, but no excuse on a new $50k vehicle.

Hideous. Horrible.
Destroyer Gray ....
I wince and look away at those colors. To me, they are worse than FM3 or Sublime.
Personal tastes will vary though. SOME people liked the AMC Matadors, the Edsel and the Chevrolet Vega.

Other grays not too bad but that Ford truck makes we want to start sanding it with 320 and prep for paint....lol
I looked at that Dark gray primer color too many years in a shop, certainly dont want to look at it on any brand new vehicle.....ick

"Battleship gray" has been a trend for a couple years.

I like it.

A neighbor of mine sometimes has a visitor that drives a 392 SRT Challenger that's been wrapped in camouflage.

It really works.

Of course camo is very diverse and can be good or bad.

This one's good.

I've seen some really odd stuff..
Really to each their own as we all preach if it makes you happy...
I've seen quite a few at The other extreme... Guy with a reflective gold newer Camaro drives around locally..
Kind of like this but gold...

Who ever at Mopar that let the Ram be painted green should be demoted...

I just saw one yesterday :D I would drive it :D Would have to share time with my black Express though  I would like to catch the guy again and find out which exhaust he had on there. Sounded real good. :D

Fricken grey! Everything is grey now days. Brighten up you life with a little color!

Most rich colors show dirt, scratches, and damage far more readily than white, silver, or grey. Black is horrible when it comes to upkeep, and metallics are a pain in the *** to repair. Add to that all the shitty clearcoat OEMs have used for years which make everyone equate darker colors with peeling paint.
I think these are the reasons your average car buyer gravitates toward muted colors...

Personally, I think grey can look good with the right combination of stripes or accents, but is otherwise worse than 'camry tan'. Then again, I will also never own another black vehicle unless I can get it so cheap that I can repaint it. I hate the upkeep that comes with black. So many swirl marks.

There's a chrome wrap Crossfire around here.

I've seen it pulled behind a motor home a few times.

It actually suits the body style well and looks like something from the art-deco 1930's, or a post "episode 6" Star Wars movie.

LoL, I’d rock the dump truck, that thing is bad to the bone...

Any spot or streak will show as TWO.

Matadors are badass if they're the right ones.
