So I am looking to upgrade my stock wheel/hubcab combo on my 1975 Dart Swinger /6 (you can see a pic of it on my gallery). It has power brakes, discs up front. Just wanted a sanity check from you guys on this set of wheels I'm looking at ordering from Coker. I'm thinking about 225/60 tires on these. Nothing crazy, just want it to look a little sportier than the hubcaps. Thanks!

Dang that's a clean 75 swinger!! Those will look good. I had some rallies on my 75 then when back to old-school dog dish caps

Does it specify anywhere whether that price includes the centers and trim rings? Figure those into your costs, too.

double check your bolt pattern, as a 6 it may have drums that may have the old 5 on 4? Not sure when they went all in on 5 on 4.5

Yeah, that price is just the wheel itself. I'll have to get the caps and rings elsewhere. I'm planning on getting the bigger center cap style from the 75 and later models

Some one will correct me if I'm wrong, but if recall, all Dusters went to the Big Bolt pattern in 1973 when they also went to the single puck disc brake and bigger ball joints.

Nope. Base strippo model slanty cars also came with SBP and 4 wheel drums with either 9" or 10" drums up front thru i believe 1975, and possibly 1976 but I have not seen one as new as 1976.

The real gem though is if you find one of these SBP 73-75s in the junkyard and it has the 10" finned drums on the front, as it has the big ball joint UCAs on it. I would know. I got my BBJ UCAs off a 75 valiant with 10" finned drums and SBP wheels. If you find a 73-76 10" finned drum A body in the junkyard Even if you dont need the UCAs they are still worth wrenching off to sell if they are in good shape,

If his 75 has power disc brakes it's got the larger diameter bolt pattern.

I think all the aftermarket wheels will fit disc brakes.

I appreciate your knowledge. After looking closer, those wheels are the BBP of 4.5. I thought all the A bodies switched over to the BBP and larger ball joints in '73. If I'm wrong, I apologize for passing on bad info. I had a '73 /6 Duster in high school, and it was BBP steelies and single piston discs. I had A/C and a few other options, so maybe that had something to do woth it. Again, I'm not calling you out, just trying to add to my old brain's hard drive.

No problem. I thought they all switched to BBP in 1973 as well till I saw my first SBP 1974 one and it was a strippo slanty 4 wheel drum car. I dunno if the intent was to use up extra inventory on the assembly line, or a different reason.

Ma Mopar was known to use up their stock on production cars until she used up her inventory. I'm known for keeping service records for all my vehicles since I acquired them. I pulled out my box of records. My1973 Duster 225 slant 6, 904 auto, an 7 1/4 open rear, had big ball joints, and single piston disc brakes from Mother Mopar. She was Petty blue with a B7 blue interior. Bench seat with the big fold down center arm rest. My car was definitely big ball joints with the BBP rallye's. It was also a power brake system. Not trying to upset anyone, just telling you what I know for a fact.

I appreciate the knowledge, and I'm not trying to piss anyone off. An old warrior looking for the truth. Not trying to upset the PC crowd. Anyone who want's to speak their mind is welcome to PM me without bias or prejudice Just covering my buttocks.

Usually it's /6 and drum brakes , then it's small bolt pattern. V8 and disc brakes , then it's big bolt. There are always a few exceptions with our Mopars !!!

Small bolt pattern disc brakes only thru 1972. K-H 4 piston type.

1973 up disc brakes are big bolt pattern and single piston calipers.

You wont find 4 piston small bolt pattern brake setup on a 73 up A body unless somebody swapped it onto the car after it left the factory
