Strange Noise, Driveshaft?

Yea, before driving any more and risking more damage and getting stuck somewhere, I'd pull the driveshaft and start checking the u-joints by hand. Checking the yoke & trans slip-spline fit/play wouldn't hurt while your at it. But I'm going with the u-joints also. Check the u-joint c-clips & make sure they are all 'clipped in" correctly.

Then grab the pinion yoke by hand, with the rear wheels off the ground and roll it over by hand to see if you can feel anthing odd in the reat end bearings or gear sets.

From the sounds of your description possibly cold be the ring gear moving on the differential housing. Bolts just starting to loosen up from hard use and working that ring gear back and forth under acceleration and deceleration.

What does it sound like when you run it with the wheels up off the ground? Does it make the same noises when accelerating and decelerating?
