i ended up doing that little road trip with the kids after school
picked em up at 3.15, made it home around 8.30
they actually enjoyed it
we did the typical road trip stuff, stopped at a gas station and get them all sugared up (something we dont usually do)
picked up the "item"
did i ever tell what the item was ?
one of my buddies did some work on his house and converted the deck to a family room
it came out really nice, wood flooring, tons of windows, white ceiling and natural looking wood beams running across it
it looks a little bit like a lodge
now his wife, who is a little bit of a prissy girl had send him out to pick them up a rug for that room and he couldnt find the one she wanted, so he picked one out himself and it is awesome

and you know what?
his wife HATES it
and she claims it doesnt match anything in their house (according to me, because it is the only cool room in the house)
well, it just so happens that monday is my buddies birthday so i got him this
(not a picture of the real one, that one is boxed up and wrapped as a gift)
isnt it awesome?
it will completely draw the room together and his wife is gonna HATE it
so, we grabbed that, spend 80 bucks on pizza
and went down to a park to eat while the kids played on the beach
pretty good day altogether
oh, almost forgot, if i dont post after monday, it means his wife hated it a little too much

Glad you had a good time with the kids, making memories like that is important.
As far as the rug and deer I'd say it's great but I am a male and that's what we like.
Windows tinted in the Scamp yesterday had to drive 215 miles one way but had a blast. Spent some time with SLO and his dog Hemi and he let me sample some good whiskey that I'll have to get some for sure. Nothing better than visiting good friends and just BSing. His Demon is derivable and needs the interior next but looks and sounds awesome.

Rain all day here so not sure if I will do anything. I was productive yesterday at least.
Need to finish raking my yard and kill some weeds that are starting to pop up in my lawn.
2 of my boys went flying to Washington to be with there grand mother for Mothers day but had to turn the plane around and come back home, bad weather and snow. Did get me a picture of one of the big, I think there called cranes they use in the coal mines. Not a real good picture but they are huge.
340 6pak use to build them and has some nice pictures of some. Maybe he'll post some better pictures.
Morning Y'all. Like CF says rainy cold day so maybe some garage time. Got birds worked their way into the pole barn and crapped all over the cars. Gotta get that off before it eats the paint.
Good to hear from ya been awhile. Yep bird **** is hard on paint for sure.
Smartest thing to do if the weather is iffy. Not worth taking a chance
BTW guys. That picture was about 1995-96. My six pack turned into a 24, lost half my beard and the hair turned colour and half fell out.
