I got a bunch of old tires that was inside the cuda I just bought. None of these are usable I don't think but I thought they where cool. They are before my time for sure as I've never heard of them. I love how flat and wide the tread area is. I have never heard of this size either. G-60 14 I never knew they made a 14 inch tire that wide. I like how Square the sidewall is. Tires nowadays have such a rounded sidewall the tread is alot narrower. Anyway they are Hercules honcho 60s I also got one old 80s drag slick and some polyglass trailer tires.

G60x14 were pretty ordinary, at one time. I had a pair of M60x14 tires on a 10x14 rim (also pretty rare) on an early box nova. The wheel wells were cut, and the tires stuck out a couple inches on each side, lol. I think they were 10 or 11 inches wide, only 25"tall.

Its funny that you mentioned that because I also got a set of 10 inch wide keystone rims in the trunk lol. I will probably sell them or something they won't fit anything I have. I don't really want to cut the wheelwells

Those old T/A radials are from the mid 70's before the first tread design change and metric sizing became standard. All Rayon construction, no steel belts in them back then. Extreme caution if you are driving on them or doing burnouts. Lots of fender damage awaits you if you do.

I'm a fan of the block tread too, nothing like a full width tread to the ground. Make an floor lamp out of that slick. Those 14's are albatross' as there ain't **** out there in a 14 for that width. Not much demand especially of its a LBP, maybe if its a SBP.

L-60-14 mint ...stored inside 37 years....installed on small bolt rallys..14×8's...love the old belted look

I had Daytona sport 60 and Manhandler tires back in the day. lol
H60 x 15 on the back of the 67 Fastback, upgraded from the worn out G60 sport 60. lol

Take the sidewall and fold the bead into the tire and see if there's any cracks visible. If you don't see any, I'd run chit out of um. They look good in the pictures.

LOL not me , the date code is far expired.

Used to buy the Hercules brand back in the day for my pick up ! Seems like Kelly Springfield made them.
I had Hercules "Hercumile" tires on my 76 w200. I think they were rayon or nylon ply tires. If the truck sat unused for a week or more, the tires would flat-spot. It would take about 5miles to make them round again. Could not wear those things out, as if the rubber was as hard as iron.

Stored inside might shield them from UV but unless you stored them in a vacuum, time is time and it is the solvents that evaporate from the tires chemical compounds that cause them to harden and lose their flexibility. old rubber gets hard .Take an old rubber band and stretch it. Example. Take a thin piece of metal and bend it back and forth several times and it will eventually break.

N50-14 Mickey Thompson street tires mounted on 14" Cragars I had widened. Reeeeeally tight in there LOL.
