Pick a state

Biggest thing when bailing from one state and fleeing to another is leaving any and all attitudes, opinions, ways and any stereotyping behind and looking at life (in a new location) with an open mind. Truly adhering to that is key. As a transplant from Illinois we found our home in South Carolina 25+ years ago, leaving all family and friends behind. Just have to do a lot of traveling to go visit is all. But the attitudes and opinions of some up there about how it’s “supposed” to be down here is tiresome, ponderous, old, you name it. I thank God we bailed from up there and landed where we did. Suits me and my wife just fine. Here’s a tidbit: nobody’s moving from these parts to those parts that’s a fact. Travel, see as many areas as you can, find something that ticks as many boxes as you can and make your life. My father at the time said about our thinking of moving was “better to do it now, give it a try than to not and spend your life wishing you did” Takes a certain type to move away....and remain. Many fail, they have too much attitude and are set in their ways (baggage) attached that they can’t lose. Too bad for them!
