Pick a state

Move to Utah, great place to raise young kids.

New Zealand.
They wont let anyone in without showing them the place they are staying and a ticket out. My grade school friend ended up teaching there for a few years and said it was a pretty closed society with immigration based on many factors that would disqualify about 90% of the people that US takes.

I have friend there, he said "they are so prejudice against brown people" that is why they make it difficult for outsiders to move there.

I would like to move too. I have lived in the same house for just over 60 years and would really like to try something different.
But as someone said there is no perfect place to go and it's far from perfect here but it is home I guess.

Best states to live in are the ones that NO ONE is moving TO!!!!
Yes! That has a lot to do with the quality of life where you live. A significant portion of the people around here are just self absorbed, inconsiderate asswhipes.
I'm hoping that the Chinese booster falls out of the sky and hits my house so I can afford to move!

What part of california is reasonably affordable? I'm in one of the shittiest cities in california and the cost of living is outrageous.

Look around at the state. Nearly everything north of Sacramento is reasonably priced and not overpopulated. Most of the central Valley (San Joaquin and Sacramento Valleys) is small-medium sized towns with reasonable cost of living. I know the Bay Area and the cost of housing as I still have friends there. My $320k house in a good part of Fresno would be $1-2 mil in Santa Clara County and wouldn't be on a $10,500 sq ft lot...

Californians are moving to Idaho with their money from selling their house in Cali.
They are buying everything in sight and driving our housing market up.
Some of them don't even live here they just rent the house out. LOL
Some buy two or three houses and live in one and rent two of them out.

You're welcome to come, just leave the donkey where it's at. LOL

My cousin is moving from SoCal to Idaho. Also moving to Idaho is one of her daughters and son-in-law along with the grandkids. Since the son-in-law has joint custody of his son with his first wife, she and her husband are also moving. My cousin's son and his girlfriend are moving as well. Her other daughter and son-in-law are moving to near Yellowstone.

It would be nice if the idiot thinking Californians would just stay there, instead of infecting other states. Most all of the idiots in Washington take up 2 counties. Fuckin stay outta my area !

Their not all bad, we have some that came here and bought property in remote areas and they left the donkey where they came from, they fled the area and want to be left alone.

Absolutely. The Californians that are leaving California, are leaving for a reason. I'll be right behind them when I retire. Only 16 more years...

I know theyre not all bad I specified "idiot thinking Californians "

I think it's just the opposite. There's a reason the population of California went down last year...
Yes I get the point. People leave Ca. for many valid reasons, but so many times I hear of them going to Az. or Co. or yes even Tx and try to make it as screwed up as where they just left. Maybe they get a bad rape. Here in Tx. they seem to go to the Left minded areas like Austin, Houston, etc. I have meet a few, and dumber than a box of rocks. Absolutely no common sense. I guess they figured out how to make $$$$ years ago though. They have more $$$ than I do, so I guess maybe, they are pretty damn smart. I just don't measure everything by the $.
Seems most people leaving Ca. would never migrate to a state I respect. States which I respect are those very rural in nature, high in common sense, which makes them deplorable Right winged areas!! States that value hard worth, honesty, freedom, common sense, and have a dislike for government and its controls in general. States where the vast percentage of residents can survive and even thrive without idiots trying to tell them how and where and why to live. Where a "govn'ment" welfare check and food stamps are not considered a pay check for work done or actually NOT done. My list is long. ha.

Well I am really surprised that this N&P subject has made it to page 4 while others hardly get out of the gate!

Biggest thing when bailing from one state and fleeing to another is leaving any and all attitudes, opinions, ways and any stereotyping behind and looking at life (in a new location) with an open mind. Truly adhering to that is key. As a transplant from Illinois we found our home in South Carolina 25+ years ago, leaving all family and friends behind. Just have to do a lot of traveling to go visit is all. But the attitudes and opinions of some up there about how it’s “supposed” to be down here is tiresome, ponderous, old, you name it. I thank God we bailed from up there and landed where we did. Suits me and my wife just fine. Here’s a tidbit: nobody’s moving from these parts to those parts that’s a fact. Travel, see as many areas as you can, find something that ticks as many boxes as you can and make your life. My father at the time said about our thinking of moving was “better to do it now, give it a try than to not and spend your life wishing you did” Takes a certain type to move away....and remain. Many fail, they have too much attitude and are set in their ways (baggage) attached that they can’t lose. Too bad for them!

I think some of you misunderstood my comment in response to barbee6043. No one is moving to California, so that doesn't make it a great place to move to. The states that people are moving to are great places, for now.

The problem is that far too many of the folks moving to these states do not understand why the place they are leaving is screwed up so they bring their politics with them...

if i ever leave the carolina/virgina foot hills id probably end up in north east alabama or north west georgia! take car hobbies outta the equation then wyoming or idaho!

It's not so much about politics.
People pick up and move because of economics. Or because their tired of the long winters.
`Every state has negative reasons to live there from the high cost, cold and snow, access to fresh water, to access to quality health care. It just matters what's important to you.
