Hey, everyone. Having a cranks/no spark issue and all the electronics are new, so I was thinking it may be the distributor. I installed a new pickup coil when I bought the car, and it stopped starting. I noticed that the gap had sort of grown and the coil/base plate assembly is pretty janky and I really wouldn't expect it to keep a fixed gap the way it moves around. Maybe I put it back together without a screw or something?

It may be that "Y" clip on the base of the plate that the pickup coil/plate combo attaches to. The whole plate assembly with the pickup coil on it is rocking and that's what making the gap vary between the pickup coil and the reluctor.

So what's is the name of that Y clip and can I buy it separately anywhere??

Advance pate clip they do go bad and usallly cack or lost the tension they should have. I have them if needed., send me a message,
