Honda tried to pass a car turning right at an intersection. Went wide and hit me waiting for the light in the left turn lane. Then backed up and sped off losing front end parts. Sonofa!
Im just sick.

Partial plate # and a shattered Honda grille. Witness didnt have any more info. OPD didnt care- told me to make an insurance claim and left. I’ll be posting in Parts Wanted.

If he has lots of damage you can bet he'll be looking for a body shop or parts. Hopefully he gets caught!

I hope you can get her fixed up!

I feel your pain. Some Ahole T boned my truck a few months back and drove off. File a police report, this will help with your insurance claim...

That's a damn shame. I can't stand people who won't own up to their f-ups.

If I wasn't halfway in shock, I'm afraid I'd give chase, and who knows what would happen if I caught them.

That's horrible.

Probably a stolen car and not surprised OPD didn't care. San Jose PD does the same thing. They let car theives walk away with a citation then have the car towed.

Bloody mongrels some thieves stole some gear from my office the cop was a cadet in training & told me who it was so looked up the phone book & went around with a baseball bat turned out it was his parents house gave himself up the next day the cops asked what I hoped to achieve I said well more than a 25 hour community service order no comment.
Its goner be hard matching that paint job hope the insurance comes good

Sorry to see that. Hope they catch him. Hope your cars damage isn't any more than what's shown. I've always like the open, unpopulated roads, and all the more after seeing recent threads.

That truly sucks, as the survivors are getting fewer and fewer. I bet if you post in the parts wanted section, one of our great members will check his hoard of parts and step up to help you without price gouging. Best of luck.

Thanks. Despite the gold door, I was sold on this car instantly for the lack of rust and original paint-as rough as it is. I posted in parts wanted tonight and already have a local lead on a fender. Hopefully theres not much more damage than the obvious.

What a shame... People are assholes...

Unfortunately, this is happening more and more...

One reason when I get a couple of my cars done, I'm not sure that I will drive them much.... One of them is irreplacable, the other is very rare also.... Why would I give some *** wipe a chance to wreck it on me????

Especially now days when everyone has their face in their phones and not paying attention....

I hope the dick in the Honda's engine overheated from radiator damage and he overheats it and seizes the engine....

I feel your pain. Head on in the parking lot. I was stopped.

and it blows up and puts him in the hospital ,----no wait , if he`s an illegal , we`ll pay for it !~!

Maybe "Mad Max" is in the near future. Did the police sign the accident report?

Park it for a while , then get to work fixing it. Right now though you need to grieve:) They have secutirty ca,meras in the parking lots, hopefully the police will investigate it as a hit and run. get a license number.

That's jacked up. That driver needs to have a meeting with the fat end of a baseball bat.

Could have been worse. Had they stopped, they likely would have made a snide remark like, "At least I hit an old junk car", as losers who ran into my classics have, then you might have beat their skull into the pavement and been prosecuted for it. Looks like with a new fender, some hammering on the hood and perhaps bending back the thin front trim, it could be like new. A good body man could probably fix the fender, since likely rust-free being in Oakland. I think most shops could bend the bumper back since no sharp kinks.

Hope your insurance is better than mine. I just have liability on our 2002 Chrysler minivan. When a driver suddenly moved left into my lane when entering a freeway (2 entry lanes), I tried to move to avoid them, but they slammed into our side, then turned back like they were a billiard ball. Seems they decided at the last minute that they didn't want to go on the freeway, then figured "OK, let's go this way". Appeared a confused geezer (driving slow, flash of grey hair), who then just continued onto the freeway without stopping. I tried to pursue, knowing how the system works, but couldn't get back into my lane before hitting a curb which blew out my left front tire. They were going slow, so thought I could still catch them but gave up when the tire got so low it was rubbing on the strut. My insurance wouldn't cover under "uninsured motorist", saying you must catch them to prove no insurance. Indeed, the adjuster laughed at me and said he denies such claims all day long. Fixed it myself as it just dented in the sheet-metal around the sliding door handle. Needed just a very thin coat of filler and painted w/ Duplicolor spray cans incl clear-coat. Silver is easy, and can't even see the repair. Over half the drivers who have hit my vehicles have had no insurance, and the Police have never charged them, accepting silly excuses like "thought the prior owner's insurance covered me" and "my purse is in the trunk and I don't have the key".
