They must be imported as you say, an Action+ I bought 4 yrs ago was pretty nice and uniform, packaging touted made in USA. I just opened up the windows and tapered into the runners. Referring to the two questions the OP initially asked: Can it be fixed? Sure. Could just be any old typical day spent with a grinder opening and straightening things out as some have shown here on other intakes or it could be a major undertaking to get it right or one might end up breaking through a runner. Send it back? For many absolutely. Why bother, unless you just gotta have a Weiand. Maybe it’ll end up on a Jegs “seconds and irregulars” blowout sale, then it might be worth trying to make it right!:rolleyes:
