It was really recent, regarding the junker 318 build off. I think he posted something yesterday morning on his instagram but i cant find it anywhere. I hadnt watched the UTG video yet so I didnt put much thought into it.

If I remember correctly, sometime in mid to late 2019 UT (whitepunkonnitro) bailed on FABO. Members here had PM'd him with no answer for days, his excuse was "been busy on other projects" & then he went dark. If the Roadkill people decide to take him up on the call out, he has everything to gain & nothing to lose. He gets on a TV show & gets his face out to more people. In my opinion, the Roadkill guys shouldn't stoop to his senseless challenge. UT washed out in the RAG industry, tried coming to the Mopar sites selling a lot of over priced parts & when he figured out he wasn't going to get rich off of OUR hobby, he went to try & exploit people in another venue. I may catch flack over this post, but it's just my thoughts & opinion.

I get misunderstood for UT bashing but that's not it, I just don't think everything he says is gospel. I wouldn't, for example even try and port 318 heads to make them flow, I'd get a set of 340/360 heads. I'd cut the losses right off the top, you have to have too much time on your hands to try and hog out a set of 318 heads to make power. back on topic though i am going to predict this junk engine build call out goes nowhere...it doesn't even sound like fun really. Who wants to dick around with a stock junk 2 barrel 318 what's the point? I mean that's like repairing a washing machine to see which one spins faster...

UTG is a hack at best but I will give him props for sucking in so many and making money off them. He definitely has that "carney" quality about him; able to talk complete crap and make it sound legit. If someone watches his channel for the entertainment value so be it, but thats about all is is good for. He throws out opinions, suppositions, and theory's like they are fact and many of the viewers don't know enough to discount them or understand why they are BS and thus accept the information as being factual.
Basically he is doing about the same thing as most of the scammers out there; throw something out that "sounds" possible but you have no way or the inclination to prove or disprove it so you take the easy path and accept it.

Its an organization that many successful YouTube posters become a part of, they bring in advertising (read money). I am sure there are other benefits but I believe getting paid is the driving force behind it. They have all sorts of posters in many different areas.

True. Uncle Tony is a bench racers hero. He's the guy that has a garage down the street when you were a kid and you go hang out and drink beer and listen to his BS stories, ..all the while his car never moves save for maybe an occasional burnout in the alley...its all good fun, but its also story telling and BS, lots of beer cans and cigarette butts...purely for entertainment.

Also tony put a crank in it that was cut .010 on the mains, with STANDARD bearings, and he didn't bother to check the bearing clearance, and then blamed the low oil pressure on the pushrod length

One thing I noticed about his channel early on, was he NEVER EVER accepts blame for anything hes wrong about, or screws up. Its ALLWAYS someone elses fault. (318 marathon build)=lunars outlaw garages fault, (bottle rocket) slow on its first outing=lambchops fault (bottle rocket eating 2 cams)=parts stores fault (bottle rocket suspension bushing falling out)=his buddys fault for tying the car down improperly. Hell, if I **** something up, I'll admit it!

Yeah honestly I don't think he has the mind to work under pressure like that he's too ADD it makes sense he skipped important details. basically you don't slap a n engine together in a hurry skipping over being clean and measuring clearances. That video proves what happens if you operate under those conditions. i will say it takes talent to offer up BS excuses and walk away saving face in that situation he effed up, and people still watch him and take his word as gospel. That build alone draws his methods into question as an engine builder IMO. Again not bashing just stating the obvious hopefully. I know he drank coffee all day but i bet a guy drinking beer all day may have fared better or just the same anyway...
keep in mind he was a magazine guy who maybe worked in a garage in the 70s in High school. that guy with the 65 Plymouth Poly, Tony bosses him around more than anything when they rebuild that Eddy carb. They Poly owner guy is doing the work.

If they do take the challenge the rules will somehow change watch and see...

I can't say I am a big Dulcich fan either, not because he is talking crap but just the way he is. I think he knows a lot and is talented but I don't care for his mannerisms which could be at least a partial result of being on camera. That said, I would listen to Steve long before uncle dumbass.
Kind of reminds me of back when I was a kid, there was always someone who had a car that never left the backyard or garage but who always had something to say to everyone else who was actually running their cars. Always full of advice and excuses and usually had some big story to go with all. Lots of "back in the day" stories with nothing to prove any of it.

True true, what happens is a guy has a car young, raises a little hell with it, gets married has kids, no money to race. the car gets parked for some reason,and no money for parts. family comes first. Heck he's lucky that he even has his car in the garage to sit there, drink beer and look at...so, life somehow becomes a BS fest to the young ins about days gone by, what really happened and what ya wish might have happened...it keeps the kids tuned in though...
To me, Dulcich and Freiburger are entertaining. So's Tony. I'd watch it. Better than 99% of the crap on tv.
BTW Freiburger and Finnegan kinda already did it with Throwing Darts. Roadkill episode 100. Fed a stock bottom end 318 a 250 shot I think till it puked. Welded a 7.25 etc. Good episode.

Frame connectors bad, and then you have the "plan z" dart, with literally every single part, including structural, and even suspension parts drilled with a zillion holes. Totally defies logic, and common sense

I was wondering if that thing will pass tech inspection at the track... Imagine this he's doing 89 MPh down the track and the body buckles causing a loss of control..I don't see a track wanting to accept the liability. he said something about running it I know he fired up the slant on it and broke in the cam.

You know what? Didnt he have a build thread on here years ago on that dart? I vaguely remember him having the same "plan" for it. He was gonna spray a built slant six into the 10s.....that's about the ti.e he vanished from the site.
