I believe the 2 wide placed scoops were 71 and the one in the pic you shared is a 72. On Demons that is. My 71 had the 2 wide spaced scoops.
Back to OP. Being you don't like the wide spaced scoops nor the stinger style, and the 6 pack scoops are too tall for your liking, I would say flat hood. The early Max Wedge scoop would be low profile and looks great on these cars. Just my 2ยข
