What's the best source for a rubber 833 gearbox mount, similar to the OEM?
I looked at Brewers and Passon, but saw only polyurethane. To minimize NVH, I have always preferred rubber.
PS - the mount has two holes on the gearbox (upper) side for bolts to pass through, and two studs (pointing downwards) that would pass through the crossmember. Some of the pics I saw online showed mounts with only one stud; no bueno.

273 V8 with a manual. Converting from 3 to 4 speed.

Can we at least have a hint at what vehicle?

Yeah ok. I get it now. Mine has two studs on it too. Would a good used one work for you. I might have one.

I wonder WTF the aftermarket leave one stud off? That's GAY. I'm pissed and don't even need one.

Go this site on the internet NOS and reproduction parts for 1933-1976 Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Dodge Truck s In the search box in the top right corner, type transmission mount. Then scroll down to Engine and Transmission Mount set for 1964-1966 Barracuda- Dart-Valiant V-8. At least this may give you a picture of what you are looking for.

Hay cool, thanks. Yeah I see what they did. The aftermarket said piss on the early cars and just offers the 67 and up which has the single stud. But for 208 bucks, you can have a whole set of correct mounts. Geez.

I have not found a good oe replacement mount. The anchor 2272 mount is what everyone is selling and they are junk, so I quit selling them.

Ok, thanks all. The OEM one in the car still functions, so I will continue to use it until it fails. I like replacing consumable parts when I have them apart.

How far along in your Swap are you?
Did all your Clutch Linkage work okay?

This is a list of the original Chrysler part numbers for the A Body V-8 transmission mount. 2265836-1964 2405872-1965 2533145-1966-1973 Chrysler never superceded any of these part numbers. Each one was discontinued over the years. What we don't know is the quality of the mount seen in post 8. Since the picture shows 2 studs, it is not the anchor 2272.

You got that right. I've seen them separated out of the box brand new.

I have removed the 3 speed gearbox, but the bell housing is still attached to the engine in the car (in the process of removing the engine also). I have also cut the transmission tunnel to accommodate the 4 speed.......moving very slowly.

I actually cut the tunnel first to get access to the top, left transmission to bell housing bolt. I am considering installing the transmission tunnel with bolts and glue so it can be removed to get access to that bolt when needed, and to aid in linkage rod adjustment.
