converting 340 to EFI is Edlebrock the best solution?

I totally understand what you mean. All I'm looking for is a simple to use setup. I'm not planning on racing this car or driving long distance with it but I've had issues with vapor lock in the past when I had a Holley double pumper on my 351 cleveland. I also had issues with power valves blowing out etc. I spent a lot of time fine-tuning that carburetor and I just don't want to go through all that again. I think the Holly sniper might be my best option as I can retain my current intake, distributor and wiper motor
It sounds like the sniper would be a good option for you. Your fuel system would have to change, and you will have some setup to do but they are pretty straight forward. FWIW some of these TBI fuel injection systems do not like to run on certain dual plane intakes. Worth doing a little research on before buying. Holley has good tech support as well as a good forum. And there are a few members here with some experience with them that are willing to help out.
