power steering problems

Thanks for the diagram. According to the diagram. Spring 19-57-64 for the lever was in backwards. I'm goin to turn it around to see if that fixes it. I'll have to wait till next week to see. I ordered a pressure hose from rock auto. Mine burst. Too much pressure I guess.
There's three O rings in there that should be replaced if they have never been replaced. They will probably be hard as a rock and you'll have to do it again if you don't do it now. Since you are replacing your high pressure hose you may find leaks coming from other areas of the steering gear once that is fixed. It happened to me the opposite way, I fixed the leaks on the gear and then the pressure hose started leaking. I'm 99% sure the others are correct and it's all in the adjustment. I just did this to my 72 Scamp. The adjustment is very slight. Your sliding it less than an 1/8 of an inch total.
