This is a bit long, sorry. But, this guy treated me right, so I wanted to pass it along.

I'm building a 1970 Duster and I'm doing a lot of custom details to the car.

I had an idea for the side stripes that was different than the stock decals available.

I called around to companies that advertise MOPAR decal kits, and the first 4 places I talked to gave me the same answer... "No, sorry, we don't do any custom work. We can run the correct design for your car, but that's all".

Any graphic designer worth a damn should be able to manipulate their files and create a custom piece. Since I kept hearing "NO", this led me to believe that:
1) These other companies have just purchased files, which lets them print vinyl decals of the original design, and they don't own the rights to edit the file.
2) They order the stripe kit from a master vendor, mark it up, and re-sell it to us.

Finally, I got lucky and called TOP FLITE SIGNS & GRAPHICS. I spoke to Gary, and within 30 seconds of me describing what I wanted to do he said "Yeah, no problem. I get it, we can do that". So, I sent him a mock up drawing and he sent me back a proof the next day.
He even told me that he has a '70 Duster in his shop, and he would take measurements off his car to make sure my idea would work.

Here's where he really blew me away. He sent a proof of a design that he came up with, which was different from my original idea. I told him that it wasn't what I had in mind, and just go with my original. He made the kit, shipped it, and I had it in 2 days. When I taped it up against my car, I immediately realized that his design was better. So, I called him and told him just that. He agreed to cut me a new set (his design) and ship it to me, without asking for any more money.

I got the new set today and it looks killer.

If you want any MOPAR decals or kits (original design or custom), please consider TOP FLITE. Gary is a stand up guy, and a MOPAR dude. Have a look at his work...

I tried following the link, and it didn't work.

I like this. I'm so tired of being screwed because I have a Mopar. Any repop parts for my 70 Swinger are 3 times more than My best friends' 70 Mustang. I'm too old and stubborn to change. We're supposed to run against each other on a nondescript road in eastern Washington. His 351 Cleveland with the 1970 only CJ heads(I built it), against my 70 Swinger with the 408 stroker currently under construction. I'm looking forward to handing him an *** whooping. 2 old men playing.

He may crawl to the corner and suck his thumb after he gets his touche whipped by the Mopar! I used to be a Ford man way back until my wife and her '69 Charger whipped my '67 Cougar. Sold the Cougar and became a Mopar man (42 years ago)!

John, thanks for the Shout Out! I appreciate it. I have doing Mopar stripes for about 20 years now and love helping guys like us complete their vision for their rides. Can't wait to see your Duster when complete. :)

@challengergary He's the man. Shipping me a set of stripes for my Demon. Lot's of good stuff on FABO about the quality of his work. Priced right too!

Agree 110%.
Gary's did a custom vinyl bumblebee stripe for my '69 Dart build a few years ago. Then did the same design in a paint mask after I changed my mind about the vinyl.
He's also done several custom stripes that have been shipped down to a friend of mine in Australia.
Send him your custom requests.

My build sheet shows my 70 Swinger 340 was ordered as a stripe delete car. It's B5 blue with a B7 interior. I always thought a B5 blue Swinger would look cool with a white Bumble bee stripe on the deck. Do you have a web site I can look at? I'm an old Jarhead, and not computer savvy, but I'd love to look at your products. I do not have a Facebook account.

To be honest, I don't have much on my websites for my Mopar stripes. My son is working on it for me but it is not quite ready to upload. I have two sites challengergary.com and topflitegraphics.com
