I have a 66 valiant with s modify slant 6, dual one barrels, small cam, dual exhaust, complete suspension rebuild,1.06 torsion bars, front disc conversion and sway bar. Bilstein all around, 2.91 gear ratio, new springs, 205/60 /15 front 245/70 rear . Look for 3.23 gear ratio.
My question ?
Looking to towing a small scamp trailer or small pop up around 2000 to 2300 lbs with electric brakes and load leveling setup.
Will this car set-up handle this weight or not.?
Also thinking of adding frame connectors. Any advice on trailer size or other car mods to handle towing.... Thanks

I've pulled 67 Barracudas with another 67 Barracuda.... My Barracuda had a small block...

As long as your engine has enough power, which it should with all of the mods, you should be able to pull the trailer you are talking about....

Make sure you have a good trailer hitch that attaches to the frame, not a bumper hitch....

Did the barracuda have sway bars, what rear gearing?

Rear gear ratio was 2.76... stock size tires...

The Barracuda that I used to tow did not have a sway bar, but at least one of the ones I towed did and some others that I towed did not... (Your question was to vague...)

I would research what the stock vehicle's towing capacity was and stay with it. A power upgrade is only a small portion of what it takes to tow. There's also brakes, suspension and frame structure. I wouldn't go over whatever the stock rating was.

A lot more to it than power. BRAKES and HANDLING need improvement 2K is no small matter for a car that light

Make the brakes the best they can be. Drum brakes can be quite tricky especially nowadays that you might not be able to easily get replacement parts

Consider air shocks or other overloads, or even find a junk set of rear leafs and add to the stack. Try to find bigger T bars an make sure you have good shocks
