Motor is a 318/ 904 in a 68 dart. 1-5/8 tubes. They all come apart with double slip fit collectors to minimize exhaust leaks. Starter is able to come in/out and oil filter is serviceable. Mild steel but they will be coated

F yeah! Make me a skinny pair for a 65 chassis! Would have to take #1 straight down, steering box is in way of that pattern. Nice welds. Whats your welder set up at?

You did a really good job engineering a quality set of headers. Great access to the starter, spark plugs and exhaust bolts. And no burnt up spark plug wires. Job well done. You could teach these so called header companies a lesson or two! The ones that think headers are supposed to be a pain in the *** to install. Like it's some sort of right of passage or something! Lol

Thank you! I appreciate it. I figured I’d make them instead of buying since everyone hates headers on a A body.. lots of thought went into the drive side. I’ll usually do a set of headers in 14 hrs start to finish both sides... Just the driver side took 10.. made sure all the plugs where good to get to and starter maintenance

Only tube I didn’t like was the number one going under the link bar.. had to for the started to be serviced..

Very nice! After modifying my slant headers I can appreciate your efforts and the time it took. What did you do to get the tube square to go into your head flanges?

Squeezed them in the vise first then hammer the top flat. Massage the sides with hammer and dolly

Nice, if you ever think about producing those to sell let me know. I have the same combo and car.
I was strongly thinking about it.. one thing I’m concerned about is the motor mounts.. they are swap mount used from a 360. I had to modify them. I took measurements off my uncles 74 dart on engine placement.

Would anybody else be interested in a production run? I know price is a big factor but cheap is not good and good isn’t cheap lol

Mopar people are the cheapest car guys out there. I bet you'd have a hard time making it worth your while with all of the alligator arms out there. Though, if you built a set for a BB early A that nice, I'd gladly pay you a premium for them.

Were you able to keep the primary tubes equal length? Nice effort.
I'm thinking about doing a set after I've retired and I have a little more time to burn. Did you use any of those plastic modeling pipes or just let-er rip from scratch?
