Verifying a 426 wedge

Good luck finding pistons unless you go custom.custom ones arent cheap.Everything else for a wedge is easy to find or get.

Egge machine has pistons but not max wedge., and other companies have them.
Egge doesn't make anymore,l talked to egge not long ago.its all custom orders through other companies if need pistons for wedge or max.

413's are getting really popular hopefully some company does a nice shelf forged piston.

Yeah, but they're low compression cast pistons that end up being .080 below deck at TDC.
egge still makes the 413 pistons. Falcon global on ebay has 413 pistons.they wouldn't sit below deck like that

Compression height for Falcon Global's 413 pistons is 2.015 (it says so right in their listing). Do the numbers - that piston is gonna end up .060-.080 below deck at TDC.

OK, not to beat this into the ground, but, yes, off the shelf pistons are available for 413's, but - they are low compression cast pistons. If you want a modern, lightweight, forged, zero-deck, off-the-shelf piston for your 413, you're out of luck.

And actually, I do have a 413. It was in the car when I bought it. Its pistons are .080 below deck at TDC, but Edelbrock heads milled .050 brought the CR up a point or so from the maybe 8.5 to one it had before. Runs well enough for a strictly street motor, and keeping it is a lot cheaper than building a new motor. If I were building a big block from the ground up, I'd start with something else.
