Off Kilter Racing Team, and "Toad Racer" did really well. First time out for the 225 slant powered 62 Valiant. Southern Discomfort 24 hours of lemons.
Road course, at Sebring Florida. Car breezed through tech with no issues. Had no major issues the whole two days of racing. still running at the end. That is a major accomplishment in itself. I need to check the final standings, but it finished about 38 overall, out of about 60 cars starting. Team/car received the "Organizers Choice" award.
I was just lending a hand, and moral support where I could.

Will post pics as soon as I get them. As for sound there is nothing special. The engine is a stock used 225, with a set of Clifford shorties, intake and a Holley 500 2bbl.
Update on results:
34th place out of 60 cars
182 laps completed on 3.7 mile course. approx. 673 miles
fastest lap by Lou Madsen at 3.12.815

Cool Charlie! Look forward to your updates!

Awesome! Mid-pack ain't shabby for a relatively junior effort! Is there a link to the field of participants/results?

What is the specific event/ class/ and date etc. There might be YouTube stuff up by others. Other than the driver's names and that it is at Sebring, FL I have no idea what you are referring to.

Southern Discomfort 24 hours of lemons race at Sebring Fl. May 7,8,9 2021

Good job Charlie! That had to be fun.
The only other name I recognize is Rob Simmons.
Any info on the Dart parked beside the toad?

Ironically, just a couple days ago I went through hundreds of pictures of past Lemons entries on the Car and Driver web site. The Val looks pretty normal compared to some.

Were you guys ducting air through the headlight opening?

I received a email with a link to a photo hosting site. There are many, many photos, but I can't post any (tech challenged). I could post the link, or if someone wants to look thru them, and post some for me, I will email the link to them.
