Help Me Create a Cool Door Prize for Mopars in May!

Excuse the copy/paste from my FaceBook post but I'm pressed for time today. Let me say first though that your feedback was IMMENSELY HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Special Edition of the Friday Powder ****!!!

Some of you know I was asked to customize a brand new set of big block Mopar Performance valve covers by Jason Gibbons, the "new guy" in charge of the 2021 Mopars In May event happening next Sunday, May 23, in Ontario, California. He's most definitely putting one heck of a show together and all his rallying of sponsors and participants has made an impact!

I've been helping sponsor Mopars in May for several years now. Always for a wonderful cause, it's truly a privilege to be even more directly involved with this event once again.

It was a fun job to do too. I'm not privy to how they'll be awarded but know any funds this and the other sponsor giveaways may earn through Opportunity Drawings will go directly to kids at Ft. Irwin.

The very first set out of my own imagination -- after being merely the vehicle for countless others' visions for the last 15 years -- I have a lot more sympathy for customers who take their time developing a suitable color scheme now. These have been in the back of my head for a couple months. Though the polls I circulated were helpful, it proved no two Mopar Lovers think alike.

So in trying to create something universally appealing, my contribution to the 2021 Mopars In May show represents me and my side of the shop. This is my vision:
Red and Blue, first because I'm a very proud American. Secondly because the brilliant colors will tie in with MSD boxes, ProComp stuff, AN fittings, certain Optima batteries, cables, plug wires, etc.

The heavy metallic silver (also underlying the candy red and blue -- look closely!) -- will match new intake manifolds, or old ones if you get yours coated [heh hehhhh], and many other accessories under the typical big block Mopar hood.

The black on the bodies is universally appealing and generally goes with everything. To make sure it REALLY goes with everything on these, I used a black powder that has micro metal flake in every conceivable color when viewed up close. (I wish it showed up better in the photos, and that one of my 7 attempts at a video would have worked.)

The big blue and red metal flakes from Painthuffer were added to represent my Old School attitude and the Old Fashioned One-on-One Approach I've always used since opening in 2007.

I hope they end up being loved and used by whomever wins them. There's a note in the box inviting the winner to send me their oil caps and a PCV assembly if they want them dolled up to match; they came with baffle plates though.

Best wishes from me and Phoenix Specialty Coatings to Jason Gibbons and all the other hard working Inland Mopars Car Club members like @ocdart who are putting this special event together. I hope it's a record setter!!! If you can get to this southern California show, do it!! I've added the event flyer below.

As always, comments, Shares and questions are welcome and appreciated! Your support is invaluable and never taken for granted. You're the reason PSC is celebrating its 15th year ... and why one set of custom valve covers has been the total "advertising expense" for my humble little shop aside from business cards and website costs. You guys ROCK!

Thanks for always being here for me. << hug >>
