When I got laid off from running a turret lathe at Landis Tool Company (where they made crank, cam, and valve grinding machines), I applied to Mack Trucks in Hagerstown MD. But I waited too long and they didn't have any openings.
Around those parts they say "Built like a Mack truck". Heck, I still catch myself saying it 35 years after leaving!!
