Stop in for a cup of coffee

No more cheap 360s around here. The la’s are all gone.
I will take the 360, clean it up and hope the thermoquad works as expected. New timing chain and thats about it. I should put the 340 intake i have on it. Wont matter though. It will be better than whats in it now. 87 hp factory, its probably 70.2 in its worn out state. And i sold it, to offset the budget 360 swap.

Back in High School, we had a 79 Warlock II 4x4 pick up as our tow vehicle for dad's Road Runner.... It was originally a 360 2 bbl with about 80,000 miles...

We pulled the engine and rebuilt it.... Hone, 9.0 compression pistons, file fit the rings to minimal gaps for less blow by, stock 1.88" intake valves with fresh valve job, 340 double roller timing chain, Crane 340 replacement cam, Rhoades lifters, Wiand dual plane intake, carter AFB, headers, Sonic Turbo mufflers, 2 1/4" exhaust exiting at 45° under the side steps...

It went from 9.2 MPG pulling a car on a trailer with the stock set up to 11.7 MPG with our mods...

It could get up and go.... We used to put the transfer case in 4 low and race the old 5.0 fox body Mustang GT's off the lights.... Our front bumper would be at the back of their fender at 45 MPH.... We were right on their door... They used to get pissed that a 4x4 pick-up truck could give them that hard of a run....

We eventually sold it and the guy who bought it came back and told us about some of the things he did with it... He had a couple friends with Chevy trucks that used to give him a hard time about driving a Dodge.... They went 4x4ing one day and one of the Chevy's got stuck... He got out his tow strap and pulled the Chevy out of the mud easily with the Warlock... It put those Chevies to shame... After that his Chevy buddies never gave him a hard time about driving the Dodge.... Respect... bowdown.gif bowdown.gif bowdown.gif
