Hey! Guys, I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this thread. I’ve been looking for a year now and this listing just popped up. Looks awesome! And not too far away. I would probably pay someone to go and look at it with me as I’m not 100% confident in my abilities to look for trouble areas.

beautiful car for a decent price. Just need to see the extend of the rust bubbles. have fun checking it out, enjoy the adventure.

I saw that one too.. nice car

Check the fender tag and make sure it was an original 340 car and such. That fender tag will tell you everything. If it matches it’s worth more money.

They aren’t making any more of those. I wish I’d have kept my 72 Demon and not made a drag car out of it. Just moronically stupid to do that.

Clone Demon 340 with swapped in 440 low performance log exhaust manifolds. Most likely /6 or 318 car. Seller has 2nd gen Charger in background. If it was 340 car I’d think he’d know to mention it.

Need to know what k-member or conversion was used to swap the 440 in. Could be hacked install.

looks like very poor paint prep with overspray everywhere. I thinks there some on the parking brake.

No mention of what rear end is in it. Might still be. 7 1/4

wiring hanging from stereo install attempt.

originally A/C car. So all that but taken out and plugged up.

even ashtray is cockeyed and needs work.

I can think of 20 reasons to pass on that for 20k.

That's a pretty good amateur "throw it together" job.

Is the screw missing out of the top of the fender turn signal unit in the one picture? Hard pass for me at that price.

70 to 72 fender turn signals didn't even have a screw on the top, only a nut from the bottom so that is the 73 and up style with the screw from the top. I wonder what else is mis matched on the car

I knew the 70-71 cars had the nut underneath, wasn’t sure about 72. Run, Forrest, run!!

POS for that money. Maybe 5K.

Someone will probably overpay for that! Hopefully no one on here though.

Thanks guys! You saved me again. I’m learning more and more thanks to this forum. I always know to turn to y’all to get the truth lol

Old cars are like horses... they all can have a job, your job is to find out their aptitude and ability... and worth. Some cars are built to be be museum pieces and some pieced together hotrods. Some are meant to try to kill you till you go back and find the PO screw ups!
I have loved the V code cars I built to perfection (or as close as I could at that time), and some of my most loved cars were the 318 Challenger that got a decent running 440 way back decades ago. There is a place for them all, you just have to decide their job and how many$ you will invest in their job!>
Not every horse was intended to run in the Ky Derby, or cut a cow, or.....

If were done passably it might be a deal for $10-12k. But a big block swapped car is probably not a good entry point if you are not high skilled.
