Hello all,

I joined the forum a few months ago and it's long overdue that I made my proper introductions. I'm Falcon8492 from Pittsburgh, PA and last December I picked up this 1972 Plymouth Duster.

I've always loved classic muscle from afar but I'm very new to practical experience and I have a lot to learn. This forum has been a wealth of knowledge and inspiration and I'm thankful and excited to join the community.

This is a tribute car that the best I can figure was put together sometime between 10 and 15 years ago. It has a 318 engine that's been dressed up with an Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carburetor, a 340 air cleaner, and some aftermarket head covers. 186,000 or so miles. I chose this vehicle because I wanted a project I could work on in stages while learning and tooling that I could drive and enjoy in between. Long term, I plan on replacing the 318 with a 340 six-pack crate engine and building around that setup.

Thanks again to all of you!

Welcome to FABO!!

I was born and raised 20 miles from Gettysburg, but now live in Georgia.

Glad to have you on board.

Great looking car to start your project with.
Lots of great knowledge on here so if you run into problems ask away and good luck with the new car!

Nice looking car. Welcome from WI

Welcome aboard!

I’d be very surprised if the MP 6 pack crate engine is still available. New 6 pack intakes are not available for the small block. Used ones are very expensive. The carbs are available new from Holley and are very expensive. The associated linkages are very expensive. Air cleaner set ups are also pricey.
