I just picked up 12 square of shingles, 60 ft of ridgecap, 120 starter shingles, 20ft of drip edge and 10 pounds of nails for less then 600 bucks

Don't mind HD or Lowes actually. Of course only the garden centres are open because of the lockdown. If you need anything else you have to shop on the net and then wait for the order to be ready and pick it up a couple of days later. That sucks, glad my toilet isn't leaking lol.
Haven't bought shingles etc for many years so wouldn't know if that's a good price or not. I don't do silly things like that anymore and get a company to come in to do the roof unless it's a small repair or something. As I mentioned before my neighbour did his own roof. Started Friday afternoon after worked and started stripping it and then shingled the next day just by himself. Finished yetserday and did a real good job. This coming long weekend he's going to be doing his girlfriend's roof. He's a machine, 36yrs old 6'5" and a steel worker. Used to be a body builder. He's a great guy and if I need ANYTHING he's right there for me.
