Gas Generator how many watts!!!

-
Just bought this 3500w inverter from Norhern. About 50 decibel. Electric start. Less than 800 with my veteran discount. Buddy uses them for his car race trailer.

4000 watt generator, 220v, around 500 bucks.

Someone going to show up with a Camper they want to plug in. Somebody going to have a refrigerator they want to run to keep food cold. Someone may want to run a small AC unit.

Various 110v outles available to run the band, might need to run a 110v battery charger when one of the guy's batteries went dead cause his alternator quit outputting.

Lots to consider, charge cell phones with the 12v outlet. This particular one is electronics safe so you can run a computer too. Made to run fairly quiet with a decent muffler on it too.

Have Fun Dry Camping

lol, i love back to the future!!!!!. Well im not worried about how loud the generator will be, i can just run a long extension cable, the music will probably over power it. So from your guys responses 2000-3000 watt would be my best bet? I wanted to rent one but since the way CALIFORNIA is going with this covid ****, probably gonna buy one and use it for more shows! heres the spot its called the nude bowl, was a pool from a nudist hotel that burned down in the 1980s. There will be alot of skating.

With the rolling blackouts yall have in commiefornia why wouldn't you want to buy one?

Interesting things about the Honda EU generators is you can hook two in parallel. So you can hook 2000s together or you can hook two 3,000s together or two 1,000s together to double your wattage.

you listed less than 1000 watts, just get an 1500W inverter and run it off of an car battery.

I take both my 2000 watt Honda and 3400 watt Champion generator to the track. Both are very quiet and can be knocked down to a lower output level. The 3400 watt is pulled out if and when I run my big air conditioner in the motorhome. One of these days I will probably buy a bigger one for my house with 220 so I can run my water well pump. Oh my motorhome has a 4000 watt Onan generator that runs great too but is rarely needed.

Actually you can do that with two synchronous generators, but it ain't that easy and you better know what you are doing...............

Why would you even want that?
Just split the loads and pay attention what you plug into which one

Maybe you have one BIG load and a too small generator. How'dya think THE GRID works? Matters not where power is generated, hydro, gas turbine, whatever they must be synched

It would not be that hard once set up..........Need a switchbox (like a disconnect) to jumper on to the other, and lights to indicate phasing. Get the gensets running close to frequency, as close in speed/ freq as you can and watch the lights. When the lights are out, they are instantaneaously synched, and toss the switch.

So what do you jam? Hard rock....ska punk....??

What's your flavor, and do you have any of your stuff on YouTube??

If memory serves me;
Audio Power Amps are rated output, not power required to drive them, which can be many many many more times the output.
> and audio amps are rated at a certain distortion level, which at a party, can easily be exceeded...... and when you drive your audio amp into distortion it will require ever more power input.

I have two 200 watt @.008THD mono power amps and I run them on separate 15A circuits; and two other stereo amps on a third circuit, and pair of small self-powered subs on a fourth circuit. My audio power meter on the monos, has indicated, at times, over 1000 watts per channel.
I have never tripped a breaker but I have not ever actually measured the draw either.
Jus saying.

I suggest some really really really long extension cabling, which is gonna suck up some power too.

Until it takes a **** in the middle of one of your shows. I hope you have a plan B when that happens.

Add fuel stabilizer to every tank. Will save you a lot of grief if you need it in a pinch.

Let us other Cali members know when you do another show and where it will be.

Hell I’ve got a few 6000 gennys I could bring out and loan you.

I still say that 1 .21 Gigawatts would have worked better!!! Or a bolt of lightening.
