727 trans mount in an early A ???

I'm not quite sure what you're saying. Is your car a 65? Is the mount a 65 mount? Is the crossmember a 65 crossmember? If all three answer are yes, it should fit. If it doesn't something is wrong. Maybe the tailshaft housing of the transmission is an oddball and lager than a normal one??? Time to do some detective work.

Once I have the 67up crossmember, I'll post side by side comparisson pics. Basically, the 65 crossmember does not hang as low, which would give the larger 727 more room. It was when I noticed my 65 crossmember is flanged front and rear versus rolled front/flange rear of the 67up that I looked at the bolt locations to the unibody.
