White carpet with black dash and console?

Okay I need some help Y'all! 74 flat 340 side stripe, flat dual snorkel scoop, flat wing, black console, black dash,black door trim on top of door. White seats and door panels. PLEASE HELP! Placing the order carpet as the car was taking in small amounts of
Moisture. Thinking white carpet may make the interior pop... waiting on a Hurst pro stick if I do order new door panels I still want them to be in white. However I'm not willing to spray paint the dash and console any other color than existing... anyone have any experience with stock interiors made in USA carpet delivers in 3 to 7 days
 
I feel the white seats will add plenty of contrast and also would go with black carpet.
 
I have a 69 notch with white interior. The carpet is black. I think it looks great. I agree with white carpet getting gross, but it’s ultimately your decision
 
Do a tan carpet. I think it would get the effect your looking for. Tan would be neat and clean look to it and soft on the eyes. White is a BAD idea unless your car is a Monte Carlo or Caprice with 24” wheels and alligator skin seats. Just my opinion but giving you a mental picture.
 
I dont recall ever seeing white carpet in a vehicle. It would be different if nothing else. Some builds got a white console that looked OK.
My mother put a more or less white floor vinyl covering in her kitchen. She has said, "Worst mistake I ever made" at least a thousand times.
 
Only time I remember seeing white carpet was shag back in the 70s. Mostly in vans. If you go with shag be sure to install dingle balls.
 
Looks like black is the ticket... I would destroy a light color. And anyway... the monte carlo analogy finished it off. Oh hell f'n no....

Need something similar to this to go with the shag carpeting and dingle balls

My 67 Barracuda came factory with white seats & door panels, black console, dash & carpet.
My 68 Barracuda from back in the day [1975] had white seats & door panels, maroon console, dash & carpet.
Both are a really good combo.
