I heard my dogs raising hell back in the woods behind the house, went to investigate and there He was, to scared to move.
I put the dogs in the house and went back, he was gone, he finally showed up across from the house and just sat there, a couple of cans of Vienna's and some water got Him to the gate and finally inside the fence.
Had to live with the lure in his mouth last night, slept well and seemed comfortable, 0830 this morning got to the vet, they had to sedate him to get the hook out and gave Him a distemper shot and worm meds.
Vet said He's about 3 months old, no chip, pretty healthy. Anyone want to submit a name for Him? right now it's Baxter, GF's idea.
I ain't no chick magnet, but I sure can attract some dogs ( two and four legged!) this will be my 5 rescue and every one has been a jackpot.

How about "Fisher" . You know, cause the lure?

"Bill Dance"? "Bass Pro"?

AWWWW what a cute little bastard!!

Name him after the lure he caught. Spoon? Frog?

Side cutters and pliers would get it out of his mouth if he would sit still for a sec.

Bomber. Looks like that's what the lure could be. We also had a great fabo member named Abodybomber that had passed away recently.

Well the little pup is doing ok, he's driving the big male (Hobo) nuts, I think he was taken from his mother to early and also doesn't know the difference in the sexes, I believe he thinks the male is his mom because he's almost the same color, all the rest of the pups are black, and Hobo doesn't like that.
Well the GF is stuck on Baxter, and as we all know, "so sayeth Caesar, so let it be done"
Thanks for all the comments, lots of animal lovers I see.

Great story, and what a cute little rascal you have there. Thanks for sharing and for taking the little guy in and giving him a good home.

If he's three months old, he's past the time he needs to be with his momma. I can understand Hobo's frustration, as cute as puppies are, they can be annoying while they are learning!

Maybe he see's him as the pack leader because he's the largest, but, he's sorely mistaken, the smallest female, Lilly, rules the roost here and she's not taken kindly to him.

Great looking little fella there. Seeing as that looks like some sort of bass lure and he was not to smart to play with it. I submit "Basshole".

Seems that they find you, not the other way around. What a good looking pup!
