Drag Truck - trying out the 4.30's

oh, just thought it was worth mentioning...... Food for Thought...

• It is often said, stock 318 heads with factory stock valve springs will have valve float around 4500 - 4800 rpms. Engine also has stock cam, actually everything is on the engine is stock except the 4bbl set up and headers. The second burnout in the video @ 2 min 42 seconds of the video is 6,000 rpms. I shift this truck at 5000 rpms, but it will definitely turn more but 5k is where the "sweet spot" seems to be.
