Hello folks,
My names Ian and I live in the North East of England,
I'm 53 years of age....and a year ago I got my first Mopar !!
I bought a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda notchback, it was / is a rolling shell... Not the most expensive in the world....under 5k...in pounds not dollar bills.
It was imported here over 15 years ago and was brought in from Ramona , California. It was an ex Drag race , really stripped down....I think the vultures done this ...lol
I only know that when it came over in the UK it initially had a 440 six pack ..but was originally a 273 Commando and had a 8.75 rear end ..all welded up for the strip.
I've been really busy with work so haven't done that much to it, I never wanted the car to be a " money pit " as I'm not a rich man , never will be I guess.....I want a car to enjoy, and for my boys to help me with ..and spend some quality time with but
at this moment I'm at a " crossroads "and not sure which way to do the car....hence I joined here....plans and ideas change ,this is definitely Not a restoration job , more of a Rat rod if anything !
Mad Max meets patina look via a back garden/ yard of a working class Family guy ! posted some pics too , just to get started, Anyway ....I'm Ian and pleased to be here , cheers and Beers from old England

Super cool car, you will find the folks on this Forum totally cool with any direction you take the car, we have complete and total purists trying to get every single nut and bolt correct to flat out drag racers like myself. The wealth of knowledge and experience will save you thousands of pounds. All you have to is ask! But lord knows don’t ask which cam is best! Hah! Welcome from the frozen tundra USA!

Thanks everyone, 66fs....the car has NO drive train at present....it's had the inner fenders cut out as it had open headers on when it was brought here...it's never been registered here in the UK .hopefully that will be my job in the "future"
P.S. I'm a huge fan of SBP SLOT MAGS ...just can't find them over here that much....my fronts are drums with small bolt pattern and I intend to keep them that way ..OLD SKOOL

It will buff out!
Apologies DHM67 I forgot you were on that side of pond! The phrase “it will buff out” is an American phrase good buddies use when we are heckling each other. Typically used after one of us has done something stupid like, you and your buddy are sharing a few pints and you back into the light pole when leaving the pub. Your buddy looks at ya and grinning says ”it will buff out” hah!
