Just got back from my first car show in well over a year. Quite a few very nice Mopars, hundreds of "modern muscle" Fiat era stuff (yawn). Swap meet was light, but I did spot a 73 TQ for a 400, cleaned...$400! The other 2 cleaned TQ's were $350 and $300 on this guys table...moving on! Stack of old 245 BFG rollers for $20 a piece, missed out on 2 there. 340 Y-logs $750 a set. Quite a few B/RB hi-po log sets for sale...weird they all showed up here this year. Only rusty set that had a price on it was $300. Did score a Mark Ten B CD ignition box for $10, and 2 SPB 'sombrero' Ralley centers for $20, after 10 years casually for looking for a cheap set. That was the deal of the day. Happy hunting! Thanks Inland Mopars for the show, nice venue.

yer a better man than I. I wouldda chunked it. lol

No way man! There is a switch on it to engage "Capacitive Discharge" and when I pressed it...no change! Score! Ha haaaa. Only thing that changed was the little squeal the box makes in CD mode: high frequency switching of the 2 REAL TO3 transistors on top...and the heat to prove it. Probably work alot better if I jack up the spark plug gap to about .060. But the 2 "Sombreros" fit! Not a bad day.

Did you see the original Mopar electronic ignition module? I almost bought it just for a conversation piece. Same as was on the Super Stock cars. I bought a few things. Everything was reasonable that I bought. Got out of there around noon and with a couple of stops got home around 6. Only one problem which I will address in the show thread. Saw a few people from here and other groups that I belong to. Oh, and averaged 46 mpg for the entire trip...

Was it thay blue one with the flat finned AL case and the TO3 right in the middle? Yes I did see that. I Didn't know that was the original ECU (if that was the same one) but ive seen those before.

That was for a transistorized ignition. Found on Super Stock cars, vintage Mopar nascar, and was sold over the counter. That was ns1rm21's spot. I saw you guys looking at it.

Pistha, I think you bought the CD box from him too. He's stuff is always reasonable.

This is what I bought....

68-69 V-8 (340) fan shroud and 70-72 V-8 (340) fan shroud were deals of day for me.

I'm with your yawn on the late-model "Mo-cedes" cars.... but I have always felt that car shows should have a model year cut off to prevent them from just looking like a dealership overflow lot.

I hear ya. It does promote a bit of "cross-pollination" and interest though. I've been to plenty of classics-only shows where a lot of below is going on Nothing wrong with the lawn chair crowd just not very appealing to younger car enthusiasts.
