Well, THAT didn't go as planned....

Not ascetic or pretty (shift light) but very functional for me, shift light in front of my beak, line of sight to track, keeps my paint where it belongs! Man o man to make a first pass like that is already a win. No leaks, double win! No red paint on those narrow lanes, priceless! Sounds like a perfect day to me.

Thx for the pics/info. I need that shift light staring at my beak too!! I'm planning to put it on the steering column and if that isn't direct enough, then mount it with my tachometer which is up on top of the dash pad in the middle/left location.

i don't know about any of that...lol
But bringing it over to 131 is a good idea from the standpoint of its an elite racing surface..wide, all concrete, smooth, safe, and huge shutdown.... much better option to sort a car out than Lapeer is, for sure.
As you get more comfy driving it, the car will become much easier to get from A to B
Btw... i shift mine by ear, and still get it to run the number, no way i can shift it by the tach...and i have been meaning to get a shift light..but haven't yet.
Its kinda old school, but I am pretty positive i shift it pretty identically each lap. Cars really talk to you if you listen...lol... but i do need to buy a shift light!
We've all seen how repeatable your car is - the numbers speak for themselves!! Yep, I need training for sure. Gotta get my big paw from resting on top of that Cheetah shifter so I wait for the shift light! Old habits are hard to break.
