It has come to my attention....oil evac units????

Ran across a youtube vid ....evidently some oil change outfits are sucking oil out of engines through the dipstick rather than the drain plug. I don't know 'bout YOU but this does not seem very good to me

1...Won't sludge tend to remain in the pan, and maybe be large/ heavy enough to avoid the pickup tube?
2....I realize oil change places "ain't interested" but how do you notice any filings/ engine damage by this method

I realize this has tremendous advantages. You don't have to spend a lot of time removing that filthy belly pan, or getting your nose dirty. Why, you might not even have to get under there !!!
In a perfect world you should drain hot oil and let it go until it stops dripping. Gimpy Lube doesn't want to take the time to do it right. LOL I evac the oil in my push mower but you don't get it all out. Way easier than turning it over to drain it or messing with the drain plug though. .
