New Ultrasonic Cleaner
As stated above, here is my follow up experiment running the same parts in the Ultrasonic Cleaner with 5% Vinegar to see if they will clean up and or polish up more.
The Vinegar gets pretty aggressive when used with the Ultrasonic. Left a bit of a black powder film on the parts after distilled water rinse. Polished up the Brass by hand with paper towels. Turned the steel section of the parts black too, wired wheeled most of that off.

Like to experiment to see how far you can go to clean things up without destroying the parts.
Somtimes you can cook things too long or use too aggressive cleaning solution and turn things black, that you can't reverse. Especially with Aluminum.
Good to take some time and experiment with these Ultrasonics to see what you can do and what you cannot do, and the cook times needed for the desired results.
Then when you have that nice carb that you just want to clean out, you will have a good feel in how to go about it, without ill effects.
Can also hand polish up the carbs and or parts when you are done to give things a little more of a finished look.
