Ok, my is in the early stages of a resto. Trying to figure out what front seat I have so as to order the proper (as close to factory) upholstery. The car is a '69 Dart factory 4 speed car. Missing VIN (I do have it registered in my name with a new DOT VIN on the door jamb) so it's legal. No fender tag, no broadcast sheet, so I'm on a Indian Jones mission. It's not a #'s matching car so it's not critical to be perfect. I like the split bench with arm rest so I'm keeping it. Just want to know if upholstery is available or will it have to be a custom job.

Don't know if upholstery is available but custom would be cool. You could add some bolster to it.

Mexican Darts had center fold down armrests and 4 speeds.

does your can have 69 vin stamping on radiator support and trunk lid?

my 72 dart has the same seat. I priced seat covers around and found couple places at around $900 front only. I have found a shop locally that has guestimated less tha $1000 for front and back. That is the way I'm going to go. You may find some seat covers but I think the center arm rest jacks up the price.

Yes. Matching sequence #s on trunk lip and upper core support. It's been off the road so long it looks like I will have to get a new inspection through the state patrol. At least that's what the lady at the DMV told me.

I will definitely check with some local upholstery shops. Reassembly won't be happening until next year most likely. It heads out for dipping, body and paint in a couple months.

thought it might be a Mexican car. IIRC, They don’t have vins like USA/Canada cars do.

That would be pretty interesting to have Mexican mopar. I'll probably end up going the upholstery custom shop route. I thought about finding a correct split bench, but I really like the center armrest.

when you mentioned no vin, no tag, and 273/318? 4 speed I thought Mexican dart.

Gotcha. I'm confident it was a factory 4 speed 340 car. 4 speed hump appears factory and it has factory torque boxes front and rear. I wish I had better documentation but what the hell it'll still be cool!
